Sometimes music starts in a very simple way.
No big plan.
No big strategy.
Just someone hearing your music and feeling something.
That is basically how ALMAS started.
I met DJ Orbys, whose real name is Maycoln, through SoundCloud. He is a Brazilian DJ and he found my music there. After listening, he reached out and told me something that really stayed with me.
He said my music felt different from a lot of other house music. More emotional. More melodic. More like there was a real feeling behind it.
That meant a lot to me.
Because honestly, that is exactly what I am trying to do. I do not want to make house music that only works technically. I want it to feel like something. I want a melody, a vocal, a groove or even one small moment to open a little door somewhere.
So when Maycoln said he wanted to work on a track together, it felt natural.
We started exchanging ideas, and slowly ALMAS became what it is now: a fresh, melodic and emotional summer track with a rhythm that hopefully gives people joy on the dance floor.
The vocals are deep and emotional:

Even if you do not understand every word, you feel the weight immediately. There is something human in it. A bit of pain, a bit of longing, maybe even a bit of surrender.
And that contrast is exactly what I love about the track.
Because around those vocals, the music still moves. It is warm. It has groove. It has summer in it. It does not stay heavy. It turns the emotion into movement.
For me, that is where house music becomes interesting.
Not just happy.
Not just sad.
Not just energy.
A mix of all of it.
The highlight of the track for me is the saxophone solo. It gives ALMAS this extra human touch. Suddenly the track opens up in a different way. It feels alive. Less programmed. More played. More felt.
That part still gets me.
I hope people will hear ALMAS and feel that combination: emotional vocals, melodic energy, a warm groove, and a moment that makes you want to move without thinking too much.
That is what I want this track to do.
Not explain everything.
Just create a feeling.
And maybe, when it hits on the dance floor, people close their eyes for a second, move with the rhythm, and feel a little more connected to themselves again.
That would be enough for me.
