On 1 August 2026, I will play at Hunkering at Generator Hostel Amsterdam.
My set time is 19:00 to 20:30, so I have 90 minutes to build something properly. Not just quick tracks, not just hands-in-the-air moments, but a real flow.
I am honestly really excited for this one.
Hunkering is one of those names in Amsterdam that means something. They have built a strong house and techno concept over the years, and they have invited artists like Rose Ringed, Olivier Weiter, Collé, Sébastien Léger, Undercatt, Kapibara, Rodriguez Jr., Einmusik, Beswerda, Gabriel Ananda, Super Flu, Alex Niggemann, Patrice Bäumel, Klangkarussell, Hosh, William Djoko and many more.
So for me, this is not just another gig.
The line-up also feels strong: Dead Donkeys Fear No Hyenas, Stefan Meser, Sam Ace, Kuko & Mia La Fontaine, Usatov and myself.
What I want to play is simple to explain, but hard to really do right:
melodic + emotional house music which puts you in another world to feel yourself again.
That sentence sounds big, but it is actually exactly what I mean.
When I play, I want to tell a story. I want the set to move somewhere. I want people on the dance floor to feel like they are slowly leaving the normal world for a moment and entering a different one. More warm. More open. More connected.
Not in a fake spiritual way. Just through music.
A groove that pulls you in.
A melody that suddenly hits.
A break that gives the room space.
A drop that does not only push energy, but also emotion.
That is what I am looking for.
I want people to dance, of course. But I also want them to feel something. Maybe euphoric. Maybe connected. Maybe a bit more themselves than before. Maybe just free for 90 minutes.
That is enough.
Amsterdam has always had a special electronic music energy for me. It can be raw, beautiful, open, intense and very real at the same time. I want to bring my own sound into that space at Hunkering.
I cannot wait for this day.
